Studio Dimensions & Vehicle Logistics
What are the exact dimensions of the cyclorama wall?
Our massive premium full-egg cyclorama measures 17m wide x 12m deep x 4.8m high, providing a massive, seamless canvas for large-scale commercial videography and photography.
Can I drive trucks or heavy commercial vehicles into the studio?
Yes. The Good Egg Studio features a wide direct drive in roller door and a concrete floor specifically to handle sports cars, large SUVs, commercial trucks, and prime movers.
Gear, Power & Inclusions
What lighting equipment is included in the base dry hire rate?
Your daily studio hire includes an integrated base lighting package featuring professional ARRI Tungsten fixtures (ranging from 650W up to 5000W) along heavy-duty grip stands. Additional specialised lighting can be coordinated via SETS AV.
What type of power access is available on the studio floor?
The studio is equipped with dedicated three-phase power outlets to easily accommodate high-output commercial lighting grids and heavy production equipment draw.
Do you have a haze machine?
Yes, we do have a haze machine available through SETS AV.
What is the size range of your lighting stands?
The heights range from approximately 2m to 4m. The specific measurements of the stands are 4x 2.4m, 2x 3.2m, 3x2.8m, 1x2.1m, and 1x 3.7m.
Do any of the lighting stands have wheels?
Yes, there are 5 stands that have wheels. These 5 wheeled stands are all at least 2.1m tall.
Does the mobile scaffold tower have a rig for lights?
The scaffold tower does not have a rig attached, but lights can be clamped to the scaffold itself.
Facilities, Production Policies and Studio Rules
What amenities are available for the crew and Talent?
Your booking grants exclusive access to the downstairs area. A kitchenette, a production breakout area, a makeup/styling station, 2 private bathrooms, 1 with a shower.
If available we can provide access to "The Hatchery" green room, this is located upstairs.
What does your "Dry Hire" model mean for my production crew?
Our strict dry hire policy means you get total privacy and control. We provide a clean canvas and "Greet &Go" entry access, allowing your production team, independent directors, or agency crews to execute your shoot without mandatory on-site assistant fees.
Is there a shower facility at the studio?
Yes, there is a shower in 1 of the bathrooms.
Can the entrance/fourth wall of the studio space be fully covered?
We have white chiffon drapes that can be set up inside the studio to block the entrance, but the resulting appearance will be different from the rest of the space.
Can we get your logo to use for credits?
Yes, we can provide the logo, including a PNG file with a transparent background if requested.
Are we permitted to use vinyl and paint in the studio?
Yes, using vinyl and paint is not an issue, but the floor will need to be repainted if there is splatter.
Do you provide catering?
While we don't provide catering ourselves, we have partnered with a local company, Smooth Blend Cafe and Catering. They are located only a 3 minute drive away. The Cafe is open Monday to Friday but catering can be booked for outside these hours.
Booking & Payment
What is the duration of a full-day booking?
A full day is for up to 10 hours each day. This is inclusive of weekends and after hours.
How can I receive the prepayment discount and confirm my booking?
To confirm your booking and receive the prepay discount, you must first fill in the booking form and upload the Public Liability Certificate of Currency. Once that is complete, an invoice with the prepay discount included will be generated, and a confirmation of booking will be sent. The payment is due by the Friday before the booking.
Do you provide a separate tax receipt for payment?
We do not send separate receipts. The closed invoice, which includes the payment, is re-sent and serves as the proof of payment.
What is the required level of Public Liability Insurance (PLI)?
Public Liability for $5,000,000 will suffice.
Do you recommend any Public Liability Insurance Providers?
We recommend AON or Duck for Cover for public liability insurance, though there are many other options to choose from.
