Further information

Here you can find useful information on all areas of energy saving:

National Solar Schools Program

Applications for 2012-2013, the final round in the National Solar Schools Program, are open. Your school could qualify for grants up to $50,000 under the National Solar School Program (NSSP). Register your interest with us below.

What is the NSSP?

The National Solar School Program provides federal funding for eligible institutions through the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE). Schools, TAFE/Universities, Community Buildings and other organisations involved in conservation, environmental or community activities may be eligible.

This year will be the final year for submissions under the scheme, so if you haven’t already applied, the time to act is NOW.

How NSSP Works

Interested parties should refer to the steps outlined in the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency website:

http://www.climatechange.gov.au/en/government/initiatives/national-solar-schools/application.aspx

You will need to solicit 3 independent quotes and submit this for assessment. Each application will be assessed against 3 criteria: value for money, educational benefits and environmental benefits. The assessment process will determine which application best meets these criteria and funding will be applied accordingly.

The key steps in the funding process are completing and submitting the NSSP registration form and the NSSP claim form, which TGES will gladly assist with.
